Delivering Software to the Warfighter to Ensure Mission Success
It has been said that “Software is eating the world” and this is reflected in our everyday environment as evidenced by John Lewis, who consider themselves a software company and noting that NETFLIX only exists in a virtual world. How does Defence operate securely, assuredly and ethically in such an environment? More pertinently, how does the Royal Signals get on the front foot when operating, delivering and maintaining capability whose software systems are secure by design, ethically constructed and provisioned at a pace which will deliver new software into the hands of the Warfighter to ensure mission success?
An RSI Seminar addressing the above issues will be held on 21st November at the London headquarters of the National Cyber Security Centre 1020hrs -1630hrs. Speakers will include senior representatives from MOD, the NCSC and leading companies from Industry such as Microsoft, IBM, ESRI etc.

AFCEA UK – Virtual Meeting
After a few months’ absence, our first ever AFCEA London Chapter “virtual meeting” will be held on Thursday 30th July 2020, at 17:00. Ciaran Martin, the outgoing CEO of the NCSC will give a short “fireside chat” followed by a brief Q&A session. Ciaran needs absolutely no introduction, but we are delighted that he has been able to make time in his very busy schedule to talk to us, just before he retires. It should be fascinating.
This is a free event for AFCEA members and guests, but in order to be able to attend, you must pre-register by booking on line at https://uk.afceachapters.org/london-bookpay/
