“Lessons from the UK protection against the SolarWinds hack”

Nominet Cyber delivers Protective DNS (PDNS) services to Government customers around the world.

The SolarWinds hack, one of the biggest cybersecurity breaches of the 21st century, was the major cyber event in 2020, not because a single company was breached, but because it triggered a much larger supply chain incident that affected thousands of organizations, including the U.S. government.

In this hack, suspected nation-state hackers that have been identified as a group known as Nobelium by Microsoft — and often simply referred to as the SolarWinds Hackers by other researchers — gained access to the networks, systems and data of thousands of SolarWinds customers. The breadth of the hack is unprecedented and one of the largest, if not the largest, of its kind ever recorded.

Why was the UK better prepared and less exposed than other nation states to this attack? David will share his insight and experience.

The details are, Tuesday 10th November at The Hub8 facility in Cheltenham, starting at 1830 with drinks, followed by the talk and networking until 2100.  There will be a fee to cover locations costs, drinks and hot food.

If interested, please contact Michael Jensen our events coordinator at  to confirm a place.
