AFCEA UK West Chapter – November 2021- Maj Gen (rtd) Peter Williams – Chairman, The BRIXMIS Association @ Brickhampton Golf Club
Nov 11 @ 18:30 – 21:00

AFCEA UK West Chapter – Face-to-Face Meeting.

The next meeting for our 2021 / 2022 Season will be on 11th November at the Brickhampton Golf Club, when our Guest Speaker will be Maj Gen (rtd) Peter Williams – Chairman, The BRIXMIS Association.  The subject of Peter’s talk will be “BRIXMIS” in Cold War East Germany.

Peter’s talk will describe the extraordinary ‘Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde’ contrast between the formal military-military diplomatic activities of the Mission and its highly successful intelligence collection patrolling out on the ground.

Despite the numerous crises during the Cold War, it was only on the eve of German re-unification in 1990 that the Soviets finally ended the liaison agreements that they had put in place with their wartime Western Allies in 1946.

Peter served twice in BRIXMIS, the British military liaison mission in East Germany, during the 1980s.

The running and management of this event will be governed by any covid restrictions that may remain in place at the time and the numbers of attendees may be limited.

Bookings for this event are now open.  For further information and booking details please see the information below.  A version of the PDF can be downloaded here.

AFCEA London Chapter – TriCyCIS 2022 Conference & Dinner

This year, our theme will be Accelerating Into The Information Age – Innovation, Integration, Implementation

It is three years on from our last TriCyCIS Conference and we are now bombarded with things like Integrated Review, Integrated Operating Concept and Multi-Domain Integration.  TriCyCIS 2022 will probe some of the challenges in implementing these things in the realms of Cyber and CIS – what is speculative, what is achievable, how we might do it (and what benefits it will bring!).

Further details and links to a new dedicated event microsite will follow shortly.

Delegate bookings for this event, or individual seats for the dinner, are now open.
