The AFCEA UK Academic Trust is a registered charity (number 299070) – its approved charter is
“To advance education in defence communications, electronics and information technology by supporting courses in Command, Control, Communication, Information Systems, Electronic Warfare and Cyber Security through the promotion of academic excellence.”
Recent Winners
On Thursday 4th May 2023, Colonel (Retired) Andrew Percival had the pleasure of presenting the AFCEA Academic Trust’s prize Armada Dish to Staff Sergeant Rajendra Dangi for his academic attainment during the Army’s Foreman of Signals (Information Systems) course at the Defence School of Communications and Information Systems, Blandford. In the presence of the FofS (IS) community at the Graduation Dinner, SSgt Dangi was also attained top student accolade.

Army Electronic Warfare Capability Manager
On 28 March 2023 Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Nigel Harrison, the Chair of the Academic Trust, attended the course graduation at the Defence School of Communications and Information Systems, Blandford to present the AFCEA (UK) Academic Trust Armada Dish to Staff Sergeant Darren Holland, the top academic performance on the new EWCM course.

Signals Intelligence Collection Courses
On 17 March 2023 Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Nigel Harrison, the Chair of the Academic Trust, accompanied by the Commanders of the Defence School of Intelligence and the Signals Intelligence Wing, presented the AFCEA (UK) Academic Trust prize Coins to Signallers Molly Saxby and Lewis Day, top academic students on their respective courses at a ceremony at DSI Chicksands.

Information Capability Management Master of Science Degree
On 27 July 2022 Group Captain Nick Hartley RAFR, Trustee, attended the graduation ceremony at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom, Shrivenham to present the AFCEA (UK) Academic Trust Armada Dish to Lieutenant Colonel Paul Cocker, Royal New Zealand Corps of Signals.

Royal Navy Systems Engineering Management Course
